Mend Hotpoint WM63 Washing Machine Repair

Hotpoint Aquarius WM63. Replacing the door?

Just before Christmas the door broke off our WM and a new metal hinge was ordered from Hotpoint.

I now have the new hinge fitted to the door and the whole assembly needs attaching to the machine.

Seems like I need to get inside the beast to retrieve the interior clamp/backing plate to reattach the door.

Any ideas on how to effect an entry would be most welcome.

Hi.

Theres a small panel on the back of the machine held in place by 1/2 dozen screws. Undo this and retrieve the bracket from the inside. To replace the bracket you'll need to whip the top of the machine and squeeze your hand in making sure it's off of course. I've just done this on a WM67 and it's now all fixed.
