We have a 2001 (Y) Mondeo - following adjustment of bonnet catch, alarm stopped fully setting (works on doors but bonnet not set) and lights do not flash to show fully set. Garage that adjusted say they haven't done anything and won't fix it. Does anyone know if this repair would be possible to do at home and if so, any pointers? Thanks.
hi
have you tried activating the alarm/locking with the bonnet up and the alarm switch pressed in ? (normally on the left as you face it). might be that the bonnet has been adjusted and it does not depress the alarm/locking switch enough or even to much..... you can try a self diagnostic test of the alarm/locking system by pressing the switch 8 times within 10 seconds..... a buzzer should sound to indicate no faults have been found in the alarm/locking system .
