hotpoint 7 cycle heavy duty washer help?

when the water goes in threw the intake box it then leads to a plastic catch with no back then there is a hose from the catch to the tub.
the problem is at the plastic catch it is now squirting the water out threw the back of it?
i looked for a back piece that may have fallen off and there is none around. the hose isnt blocked i blew threw it.
why would it just start blocking water out the back of the plastic catch?
