Mend Hotpoint WDF740 Lot Water Door Bottom

Leaking Hotpoint Aquarius+ washer/dryer?

I have a Hotpoint Aquarius+ washer/dryer WDF740. It is leaking a lot of water out of the little trap door at the bottom of the machine right from the start of the cycle. Husband has ordered a new O ring for the little door but I think it must be more than that? It looks clean behind the door.
