Pump keeps running at the start?

Zanussi ZWG 6145
At the start of a program it is normal for the pump to start, but after a while this should stop and the drum should fill up. On my machine, the pump keeps running and nothing else happens. The timer is counting down. Pump is clean and drainage is good.
