Consequential damage to Brooks/Acorn Stairlift?

My neighbour has a Brooks/Acorn 180 curve stairlift. She had a new B.T. phone box installed which was fitted too close to the bottom of the lift carriage and prevented the stairlift from charging. The phone box has been repositioned and I have manually moved the chairlift to the charge position, would there be any damage or repair action neccessary?
