Miele WT2670 inlet fault on drying cycle?

I get the message "inlet fault" after about 3 minutes into the machine's drying cycle. The wash cycle works O.K. as does "rinse out fluff." When drying kicks it, the valve opens for 3 seconds, flushes the condenser and then - no water. The machine runs on drying for 3 mins or so and then displays the error. Anybody have seen this? I saw similar on British forums, not resolved.
