How can I reset the fault code on my 9800 alarm system?

Hi,
Is anybody aware of how I can clear the fault on my alarm panel. I have cut back a wire in the bedroom that was already cut back and taped off from the previous owner, and it triggered the alarm. The panel is showing T8 (which is the tamper code) then C8 (Which would be the zone affected) as well as having the 'Fault' light and 'Service' light illuminated.
Is there a way I can clear this fault myself?
All I have done is shortened a wire that was already cut back and serving no purpose. I would rather not have to call out an engineer if possible.
