Mend Dyson CR01 Washing Machine Broken Mechanism

Dyson CR01 washing machine - outer door will not close?

The outer door no longer shuts properly and as a result the machine will not run the programme. I suspect something about the closing mechanism/catch has broken or something about it has come adrift. I don't know how to access the back of the switch.
