It's very likely that a bulb blowing will trip the breaker. Like the other answer says, have a look in the fusebox. If in doubt, ask someone competent to show you what to do.

first thing to do is go to your fuse box and check that the breakers are all facing the same way ,probably up,or if its a rewireable fuse remove and check it is intact, turn off the power when replacing a faulty fuse
