Heating element may be clapped, although with all the shaking and bouncing washing machines go thro' I have known the wires to break near to the heating terminals.
If you're confident I'd unplug and take lid off and try and identify wires to heating elements - see if still connected. This is your best hope - just reconnect maybe with new terminal.
If they seem OK disconnect, and use meter to see if element is still OK (check resistance across terminals - no needle deflection= broken), ASSUMING you check correct ones!).
This MAY give you info required.
Is the wind not strong enough tonight to dry anyway?? (SORRY!)
