Mend Beeping Noise Stop

How can I get beeping noise to stop?

My alarm needs a battery replacement, in the meantime the electric has gone off and it is now beeping the company that installed it no longer is about and I know I need some code to stop the beeping can this be overridden.

I have the same problem - with a Veritas 8 alarm, installed about 15 years ago. The booklet expects an engineer to come & change the battery; so do the alarms all have the same default engineer code? If I knew that surely I could change the battery myself? Also - how do you find a reputable alarm engineer??

There are thousands of different makes and models of alarm that have been sold over the years. Are we supposed to guess what yours is?
