Mend Maytag PYG2200AWW Dryer Thermal

Gas dryer will not start, Maytag Proforma PYG2200AWW?

Dryer was working well, no problems, then stopped. At first I thought it might be some sort of reset due to thermal protection. Now cool for a number of hours it will not start or even turn the drum.
Sometimes it makes noise like it wants to start, other times nothing.
The dryer has no prior problems.

Pulled the dryer apart, cleaned everything, all lint from motor etc., dryer will run for a minute or two then stop. Does this point to the motor or a faulty overload switch? Suggestions.

I can get the get the dryer to run, but it will stop mid cycle
