Canon?

Canon power shot 480 takes two AA. I use rrecharge batteries.

8 rechargeables AA four Duracell Four Super U store own brand
(all Eight purchassed in France this year) all taken off charger, all reading 1.4 on multimeter tester and midway 'Good' on analog tester.
Each pair of Duracell : one pair shows on screen change batteries or will work but only for half second and leaves lens out quarter inch
replace with second set and the message on screen is 'change batteries' doesn't matter what combinatioon of pairs inserted.
Super U own brand each pair work perfect.
Each pair of the eight were left 10mins after charge before using.

Are the Duracell breaking down under load? tried them in a torch and the light was dim.
