Mend Leisure Cookmaster Range Cooker Gas Replacement

How can I access the function switch in a leisure range cooker cook master ?

Everything is in the title. I broke the axle from my switch, found a spare switch but I'm not sure how to access the old one to replace it. Do I need to remove the top panel? Where are the scrws I need to work on?
