How can I fix my NW 90EDO MK2 electric cooker?

One of the knobs on my cooker has sheared of inside on the metal bit, can I fix it. Is it a design fault

It sounds like part of the knob collar has broken off and is still on the shaft .

Get new knob:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/new-world-cooker-knobs (Care - make sure you get the exact right part)

pull off the old bit and push on new one.
