Mend Proline DW12 Dishwasher Latch Plastic

How can I get my ProlineDW12 dishwasher door to close please?

My Proline DW12 Dishwasher latch is stopping the door from closing. It won't fit into the door even though they are lined up. The bit of plastic or nylon in the door it fits in seems stuck.It was working perfectly yesterday!
