Mend Scantronic 9449 Home Alarm System

home alarm system?

i recently changed the battery on my scantronic 9449 and when i set the alarm the alarm activates. when i reset the alarm the zone 05 and 06 lights are lit. having read the install and program guide i have set zones 05 and 06 as not used but when i set the alarm the same thing is happening. can you tell me what i am doing wrong.
