Mend Light Turn Unit

How can I Fix my faulty light?

During cooking, my oven light goes out and the oven stops working. I have to turn up the heat unit for the light to come back on. What is the problem

You do not mention the make and model of your oven - but no matter.

On my stove - a duel fuel thing with a gas hob and an electric oven there's a light for the oven - when it's lit it tells me to oven is warming up - when it goes out it tells me that the oven has reached the set temperature. During cooking this light goes on and off as the thermostat cuts in and out - quite normal.
