My vapoetto polti steam cleaner keeps tripping the fuse

It will be a defective element - the thing that heats the water - it will begin to warm up but at a certain point the inside resistance wire - as it warms and expands - will make contact with the outside case and the trip happens. A safety feature to prevent electrocution.
