Mend Hotpoint WMF 540 Washing Machine Spin Speed

Hotpoint Aquarius WMF 540 - reduced crease light comes on automatically?

Towards the end of a 60 minute fast wash (program5), the reduced crease light illuminates automatically and the spin speed drops from 1400 to 600 or 800 until the program ends. Thus, we have to spin again to remove excess water. Any advice please?
