Mend AEG OKO FAVOURITE 50700 Dishwasher Detergent Fault

detergent door on aeg oko favourite 50700 fault?

The Detergent door on our AEG OKO FAVOURITE 50700 flips open whenever the on/off button is activated. This means that the detergent is dispensed too early in the wash cycle, at the pre-wash, so the detergent is lost at the first pumpout, before the wash proper begins. How can I get it to work properly again? I have tried turning the machine on and off at the mains in the hope it would reset itself.
