Not heating up is one thing - but no light on the iron suggests an interruption to the electrical supply.
I have one of these irons - jolly good it is too.
You might check the fuse in the plug.
If I had your iron I would try it in a different wall socket and if it failed to work then I would throw it away and buy another of the same sort - such is my bias towards the Philips Azur.
For several years now irons have been made to be impossible to repair - I think it's an EU safety thing to stop us harming ourselves...
