Can you use any kind of paint inside a microwave?

Possibly.
You need to do some testing. Paint a small piece of metal with that paint and, once it's fully dried, place it under the turntable. Keep another sample outside the microwave.
Use the microwave normally for a few days. Compare the two samples for alterations.
If the sample placed in the microwave show notable alteration, that paint is NOT adequate for that use. Try another kind/brand.
