is the engine gone?

a simple answer
99% of ford diesel cam belt failour results in damage to the cylinder head !!!!!!!!!
at least you will need a new cylinder head and timing belts .

but you may of damaged the pistons aswell in that case its looking like a new engine,

not enought detail did your engine lock did it fire did your car start check for oil water replace belt see timing is correct
