Mend Ferroli Heating Times Day

Heating coming on all times?

HI I have a new Ferroli Modena C HE boiler
My thermosat is set to come on twice a day, 5-54 am off 6-15am on 16-30pm off 22-00pm
Lower Temp set at 15degrees & higher tem at 23
and I have set it to Auto BUT the heating keeps coming on in the middle of the night & during the day
Any Ideas please

It is not uncommon for a boiler installation to incorporate a Frost -Stat - to fire up the boiler when the temperature drops close to freezing - to stop the pipes from freezing up.

It may well be a frost thermostat doing this for you - I think they place them in a cold area - a garage for instance - a frost-stat will ignore the temperature of the house and the programmer and do its own thing.

Consider the outside air temperature when you've noticed this condition...
