Mend Leisure Cookmaster 101 Gas Hob Cooker Ignition

My gas hob will light but not stay on?

I have a leisure cookmaster 101. I have two rings that light but no matter how long I hold the knob in, the minute I release the button the gas goes out.

If it isnew, the fail safety device could be what is causing this. It seems to be you have to hold the gas knob down down for a certain length of time. Mine drove me mad at first although my hsband had no problem. Now it mostly works for me
