Frister and Rossmann Cub 3 pressure foot lever?

The pressure foot lever won't stay in the up position. It can be depressed and the foot will lift up, but will return to the down position when let go. Whether it's a coincidence but the feed dogs don't appear to feeding the fabric through quite as efficiently as before. They are working and sit above the plate.
