how do i fix? gainsborough Sc 9.5 shower cuts out at start button?

my Gainsborough Sc 9.5 shower cuts out, soon after I press the start/stop button which lights up so it has got power but then goes off. I have checked with power off, and the filter was clean and water can pass so no blocking. any help?
I have been told it needs a new front cover, but there is not one to be found anywhere, anyone knows who has got one? or even a replacement I know they do not make them any more so it would be a very short lived, but that is OK for now.
