MY WIRELESS COTROLLER WONT WORK WHEN I GOT IT?

I GOT THIS WIRELESS COTROLLER BUT IT WONT WORK I THINK ITS THE THING THAT GOES IN THE PS2 IT WONT LIGHT UP WHEN I HIT RESET ON IT AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Have u tried to blow out the dust. Sometimes, a speck of dust is the main problem. if this dosen't work, I'd get a new controller
