Mend Sony 6 CD Changer In-car Audio

Sony 6 CD Changer display doesn't work ?

Hi. This is a Sony player for a Mondeo Edge 2008. When I switch on the ignition, the display comes on for a second or less then disappears altogether. The unit still works as normal but with a black display.

Any ideas what the problem could be?
