Mend Hotpoint TMC570 Replaced Heater Thermostat Air

hotpoint TMC570 keeps tripping?

i recently replaced my hotpoint TMC570 heater and thermostat as it was just blowing out cold air, after this i plugged it back in and was was working and blowing out hot air for about 30 seconds then it tripped and the fuse blew. i replaced the fuse and it did exactly the same again. any help would really be appreciated.
