Mend Ford Fiesta Heating Thermostat Water

How do i fix my fiesta's heating problem?

I ran out of water in my ford fiesta and carried on driving without realising, i smelt plastic burning and this is when i realised i had a water problem. since then my car heater won't blow hot air! i have had the thermostat replaced but have had no luck.....any ideas?
