winrar?

I'm in an online Art club and some items can be downloaded but only as zip files and because I've not bought WinRAR I can't open them.
I haven't a clue at the cost of WinRAR and don't want to click on the message buy WinRAR or remove expired trial from your computer.
I'm 74yrs old, green as grass and a basic computer user, Switch it on/off and search with the odd letter in Word (Using windows 7 ultimate).
Searched net for WinRAR cost and got nothing.

Computers, Desktop PCs Files Bought Open

When using Windows 7, all version except, maybe, home basic, ZIP files can be accessed just like any folder.

7-Zip is free, can open ZIP, RAR and 7Z archives.

There are MANY other archivers, many been free, available. Several of those can open over 20 archives formats.

If you're using Windows 7 then you should be able to open zip files without any other software.

WinRAR is NOT free, nor is it freeware. It WILL, however, still function after the trial period is up. You'll just have messages telling you that you haven't paid for it.

The current price for WinRAR is € 29.95.

There are also FREEWARE alternatives to use besides WinRAR. One of these is PeaZip
