Mend Stannah 420 Stairlift Stops

Is there a button on back of Stannah 420 ?

Is there a button on back of Stannah 420 stairlift that stops operation of stairlift or charging of the batteries? I have previous question regarding stairlift not working after replacing batteries. I can't remember if I turned off button whenever system started beeping? The stairlift was donated to elderly lady and I'm trying to assist with fixing problem of replacement batteries.

There is a rocker switch on the back of the lift this isolates the batteries, stops operation & also stops it from charging also stops it from beeping if there is no charge because the charger is switched off or faulty. If there is no charge & the power supply is OK it could well be the carbon pick up brush could be broken or not contacting the copper strip
