Wmpf742 washing machine filter lid broken?

My hotpoint washer is displaying the f05 in display I cleaned the filter earlier in the year but it is doing it again now I have tried twisting the lif to the filter under the bottom flap but it as broken off so I can't twist it is there another way of been able to clean the filter from back? Many thanks
