Ford KA 2011 USB issue?

My daughter has just bought a 2011 KA with USB and Bluetooth. The Bluetooth works fine with her Samsung phone but you cannot play the music. A USB is fitted, but only a USB, no audio Aux. She plugs in an ipod and it doesn't work. Is there a setting in the radio that can turn on and off the USB port, or is there a fault on the USB?
