How do I fit a replacement door hinge to my Hotpoint wd71p?

if you undo all the screws on the door it splits in two so you can get to the plastics but to take the hinge off you have to undo the door rubber so you can hold the back of the hinge with your hand otherwise it will drop in to the bottom of the washer
