I need to drain out water?

I have a Hotpoint BWM129 & has stopped with water in the in the drum, how do I drain it off as door lock is on & has an item of clothing stopping the door shutting properly

If the drain hose comes out of the bottom of the machine you can lower the drain hose into a washing up bowl and the water should flow out, if it comes out of the top you could drain it out by removing the filter but remember gallons of water will come out and the filter is too low down to get a bowl under.
