I have a new key but no code to re-program PLEASE HELP?

I have been told that the transponder on the key was faulty so I bought a new one the problem now is I can NoT ObTaIn my code as it has been lost in huge system Holden specilest team could not get it so. I have looked on the net and you can buy keys without transponders will this work?
