Hotpoint Aquarius WMD 760?

Hi, I'm having problem with my washer,when I turn it on it will start to wash and the drum turns nice,after a couple minutes the washer trips the main fuse (not the one in the plug tho).i have changed the thermostat and next plan was the element but then it tripped just before the spin cycle,I'm having the element tested tomorrow,does anybody have any other thoughts?
