Mend Matsui Player Wrong Disc

my matsui portable dvd player says wrong disc, ?

I have tried many dvd's but nothing will work. It says wrong disc all the time.

And i don't have a remote for it. Just brought it off ebay, they say that it worked fine with their dvd's.

any help???????
