Why does my Tricity Bendix DH200 stops after initial prewash?

My Tricity Bendix DH200 dishwasher empties, fills for prewash whether cold or hot, drains, detergent compartment opens and then, instead of filling, it stops and all lights go out. I have tried all programmes, Intensive, Normal, Quick and Economy and it switches off at this point in each programme i.e. in Intensive after a hot prewash, in Normal after a cold prewash, in Quick after approx 10 minutes of a hot main wash and in Economy after cold prewash. Rinse and Hold works perfectly!
