satbox ultra s7090pvr media not alive?

I am getting a "media not live" message on my Dish TV Satbox Ultra s7090pvr Freeview box.

This means that I can't see the hard drive.

1) Can this be fixed?; and 2) Will I loose anything already on the hard drive?
