Mountfield 1430m cuts out when blade engaged?

I have a Mountfield 1430will start but when put in gear cuts out

I have had the same problen mate, and I found in my case its nothing more complicated than the grass collector was hooked on the rear but wasnt pushed down all the way and the safety switch therefore not engaged. It may be that your switch is in need of adjustment or replacement.
