Mend Diplomat ADP1613 Cooker Faulty

How do I get my Diplomat Adp1613 hob to work?

I have just moved in and the Diplomat hob ADP1613 will not work.
Turn it on at the 45 amp switch and it just lights up for a second.
Can anyone help?
