Mend Nissan Sat Nav Player

How can I fix my sat nav disc player on X-Trail?

I have an X-Trail 2005 and the sat nav keeps coming up with 'Disc error" and sometimes it clears and the system operates normally. Can I repair/clean the disc drive unit?
