how do I disconnect the alarm system?

I have recently moved int o a house with this system in place, wee had the power off and the alarm went off, the previous owner was of the impression that the alarm did not work! Since power has been restored the alarm is flashing blue outside, we do not want the alarm system on as not sure when it goes off or what to do with it when it does go off
