Is my gear box needing replaced??

My winter sport light comes on when driving I lose power. The revs on car are all over place. Help??????

What make and model and year is it.?
Forget the gear box.

Alternative call up for a diagnostics test from your local garage or a mobile unit if you can't get it to the garage. However don't leave them guessing what vehicle it is.
