how can i stop gas from leaking out of carb by airfilter

Briggs & Stratton Garden Tools, Lawn Mowers Start Briggs Stratton Gas

i take it the engine is not running when this is taking place if so the float seems to be stuck open in the fuel bowl screw off bowl and take off fuel float then remoxe the little pin that stops fuel ,clean and rebuild
